Alaska Land and Sea

Alaska travel cruise

Cruising through the Inside Passage is really what has made Alaska cruising so popular. There are glaciers the size of Rhode Island. Misty rain forests and ghostly blue fjords. And spirited communities that celebrate their varied heritage. Be sure to take in every view as you sail through one of the most beautiful parts of Alaska. Glacier National Park and the breathtaking Hubbard Glacier. This is where the white ice meets the blue ice. You may even see one of the glaciers calving and exploding into the sea!

This is Alaska as seen from the panoramic perspective of your dazzling Princess cruise ship. Monumental glaciers are natures draw and Alaskas waterways reveal more of these thrilling Ice Age giants than anywhere else on earth.
Alaskas’ Inside Passage is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, home to bald eagles, whales, sea lions, otters, brown bears, mountain goats and flocks of seabirds. Plus you will visit a variety of flavorful ports of call full of rich history and native culture.

Denali National Park

Search for Alaska wildlife, including grizzly bears, black bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep, while observing the biology and geology of the region within a 6 million acre national park. If you are lucky you will see Mt. McKinley too.

Glacier-carved mountains unfold in front of your eyes as you embark on your helicopter flight to the camp. The flight is about 15 to 20 minutes each way, depending on winds and weather. As you land on the 20-30 feet of snow on Herbert Glacier, you will hear the 40-50 huskies barking their greeting, as they are as anxious to get moving as you are. You will have some time to chat with the mushers and can command your own dog sled.
Juneau has a healthy humpback whale population with some 65 whales returning each season to feed in the nutrient-rich waters. Shopping is a must in all the Ports in Alaska from Diamonds to Alaskan clothes!
